Billy Minder Privacy Policy
Stevendy LLC ("Stevendy," "we," "us," or "our") owns and operates the Billy Minder mobile application ("Billy Minder" or the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect information in connection with your use of the App.
By accessing or using Billy Minder, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the practices described in this Privacy Policy, you should not use the App.
1. Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you use Billy Minder and the features you choose to enable.
A. Information You Provide to Us
Account Information. When you create a Billy Minder account, we may collect information such as your name, email address, and account credentials. If you choose to create or access your account using a third-party authentication provider, such as Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, we may receive certain account information from that provider, such as your name, email address, or a provider-specific account identifier, depending on the permissions and privacy settings associated with your account.
Billy and Expense Information. We collect information that you voluntarily enter into the App in connection with bills and expenses, which may include bill descriptions, merchants or restaurants, purchased items, amounts, taxes, gratuities, payer names, split allocations, and related information.
People and Split Information. When you identify individuals who are participating in a bill or expense split, we may store the names or other information you provide for those individuals as part of your account data.
B. Device Contacts
If you choose to use a feature that allows you to select a person from your device's contacts, Billy Minder may request permission to access contact information available through your device.
Contact access is optional and is used only to enable features that allow you to identify or add individuals to a bill or expense split. We do not sell contact information or use it for advertising or marketing purposes.
You may deny or revoke contact permissions at any time through your device's operating system settings. Certain contact-related features may not function if permission is denied or revoked.
If you provide personal information relating to another individual through Billy Minder, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the right to provide that information for the purposes for which you use the App.
C. Location Information
If you choose to use location-based functionality, such as searching for nearby restaurants, merchants, or locations associated with a bill, Billy Minder may request access to your device's approximate or precise location, depending on the functionality you select and the permissions you grant.
Location access is optional and is used to provide the location-based feature you request. You may deny or revoke location permission through your device's operating system settings at any time. Certain location-based features may not function if location permission is unavailable.
D. Technical and Usage Information
When you use Billy Minder, we may automatically receive limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, diagnose, and maintain the App. Depending on the device and services being used, this information may include device type, operating system, application version, timestamps, diagnostic information, error information, and similar technical data.
We do not use this information to build advertising profiles or sell information about your use of Billy Minder.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information collected through Billy Minder for purposes including:
- providing, operating, maintaining, and improving the App;
- creating, maintaining, and authenticating user accounts;
- providing bill calculation, expense splitting, bill-history, People-list, and related functionality;
- saving and synchronizing information associated with your account;
- processing requests and actions initiated by you;
- providing location-based or contact-based functionality when you choose to use those features;
- sending transactional or administrative communications, including account verification, security notifications, and password-reset communications;
- protecting the security and integrity of Billy Minder, our systems, and our users;
- diagnosing errors, resolving technical problems, and maintaining application performance;
- preventing fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, or other unlawful activity;
- complying with applicable legal obligations and responding to lawful governmental or legal requests; and
- enforcing our agreements, policies, and legal rights.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use personal information collected through Billy Minder for third-party behavioral advertising.
3. Service Providers and Third-Party Services
We use third-party service providers to provide infrastructure and functionality necessary to operate Billy Minder. These service providers may process information on our behalf in accordance with their respective agreements and privacy practices.
Our service providers currently include:
Supabase. We use Supabase for services that may include user authentication, database infrastructure, and storage of account and bill-related information.
Google Sign-In. If you choose Google Sign-In, Google processes your authentication request and may provide Billy Minder with account information authorized by you.
Sign in with Apple. If you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple processes your authentication request and may provide Billy Minder with account information authorized by you.
Amazon Web Services Simple Email Service (AWS SES). We use AWS SES to deliver transactional and account-related email communications, such as account-verification and password-reset messages.
These third parties maintain their own privacy policies and security practices. Their processing of information may also be subject to contractual restrictions applicable to the services they provide to us.
We may additionally disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, governmental request, or court order; to investigate or prevent fraud, security incidents, or unlawful activity; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Stevendy LLC, our users, or others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar corporate transaction.
We do not authorize our service providers to use personal information provided to them on our behalf for purposes unrelated to providing their services to Billy Minder, except as permitted or required by applicable law.
4. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Billy Minder, maintain your account, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect our legitimate business and security interests.
Account and bill information generally remains associated with your account until you delete the information or delete your account.
You may request deletion of your Billy Minder account directly through: Profile → Delete Account
Deleting your account initiates deletion of information associated with your account from Billy Minder's active systems, subject to limited exceptions permitted or required by law.
Certain information may remain temporarily in system backups, security records, logs, or other systems where immediate deletion is technically impracticable. Such information will be retained only for applicable backup, security, legal, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes and will be deleted or rendered inaccessible in accordance with our applicable retention practices.
Once account deletion has been completed, account information that has been permanently deleted cannot generally be recovered.
5. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you reside and applicable law, you may have certain rights concerning your personal information, including rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information concerning the processing of your personal information.
Billy Minder also provides the following controls:
Account Information. You may review or modify certain account information directly through the App.
Account Deletion. You may initiate permanent deletion of your account through Profile → Delete Account.
Contacts. You may grant, deny, or revoke access to contacts using your device's privacy settings.
Location. You may grant, deny, or revoke location access using your device's privacy settings.
Where applicable law provides additional privacy rights, you may contact us using the information provided in Section 11 below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights provided by applicable law.
6. California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident and the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), applies to Stevendy LLC or your personal information, you may have certain rights under California law, including, subject to applicable limitations and exceptions, the right to:
- know the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected about you;
- know the categories of sources from which personal information is collected;
- know the purposes for which personal information is collected, used, sold, or shared;
- know the categories of third parties to whom personal information is disclosed;
- request deletion of certain personal information;
- request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- opt out of certain sales or sharing of personal information; and
- receive equal service and pricing without unlawful discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.
Billy Minder does not sell personal information. Billy Minder does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Children's Privacy
Billy Minder is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 years of age.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that personal information has been collected from a child under 13 without legally valid authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

8. Data Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, disclosure, alteration, destruction, or loss.
We also rely on security measures provided by infrastructure and service providers used to operate Billy Minder, including authentication and database services provided by Supabase.
However, no electronic transmission, network, database, application, or information-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Accordingly, while we take reasonable measures designed to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of information transmitted to, processed by, or stored through Billy Minder.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for promptly notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed or used without authorization.
9. International Processing
Billy Minder and its service providers may process and store information in the United States or other jurisdictions in which our service providers maintain facilities.
If you access Billy Minder from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, processed in, or stored in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Where required by applicable law, we will take appropriate measures regarding international transfers of personal information.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Billy Minder, our information practices, our service providers, or applicable legal requirements.
When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the beginning of this Privacy Policy. If required by applicable law, we may provide additional notice of material changes through the App, by email, or through another appropriate method.
Your continued use of Billy Minder following the effective date of an updated Privacy Policy will be subject to the revised Privacy Policy, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
